Safety note. EXAMPLE / FICTIONAL — this is a preview sample, not a real route. Do not send to a family. This museum is invented to show how a younger, indoor hunt reads; any real indoor hunt still needs a founder-walked note covering stairs, busy galleries, and where to find a grown-up helper.

Your guide

Professor Pickle

One of our dinosaurs has forgotten its name! Gather the letters and we'll give it back together.

Watch the stairs, little ones!Note from Professor Pickle
1 Clue 1 of 5

Start at the welcome desk. A dinosaur in the big hall has forgotten its name and needs your help. Walk into the largest room and find the enormous skeleton in the middle. Stand by its giant feet.

2 Clue 2 of 5

Around the dinosaur are three small signs: one says 'REX', one says 'OLD', one says 'BIG'. Write down the FIRST letter of each word, in that order.

Bring: pen & paper
3 Clue 3 of 5

Look at the dinosaur's long neck and tiny head. What do you think it liked to eat — leaves up high, or other dinosaurs? Tell each other why you think so. There is no wrong answer.

4 Clue 4 of 5

Time for a keepsake. Stand next to the dinosaur and pull your fiercest dinosaur face. Have your grown-up take one photo together to remember today.

5 Clue 5 of 5

Last stop: the little plaque at the dinosaur's feet. Remember the three letters you collected? Type them in to give the dinosaur its name back. What does the plaque say its name is?

Hunt complete

Trail complete, little explorers. You found the giant skeleton, gathered the letters, and gave Rob the dinosaur his name back. He will not forget it again — and neither will you. Time for a treat from the museum cafe.
